Errr... since when wasn't it a bear? Come to think about it... can a marsupial be a bear? Perhaps we call it a Koala bear colloquially simply because it looks like one... my cousin's got a book about animal life for children and dolphins are classified under fish!
Any biologists out there?
We've also seen bloggers classified as insects...
